Account Information:

• Name, email, phone number, and profile details
• Professional materials (headshots, resumes, demo reels)
• Casting preferences and profile settings
• Third-party platform credentials (when you authorize us)

Gmail/Email Access:

If you connect your Gmail account, Castmenow currently only has send permissions. We cannot read your inbox under any circumstances as we do not have the permissions to do so. We only use this connection to help you send professional responses to opportunities.

With your explicit permission, we can:

• Help you compose and send emails to reps on your behalf (with your approval)
• Draft availability responses using user-approved templates

Important: We never send emails without your explicit action. All outgoing communication requires your approval and remains fully actor-controlled. If we ever require read permissions in the future for enhanced features, you will be explicitly asked to provide those permissions separately. Email access can be revoked at any time via your dashboard.

Gmail Scope Justification

To provide our services, we request specific permissions for your Gmail account. We are committed to data minimization and only use scopes essential for our app's functionality:

  This allows you to send replies to casting directors and agents directly from our platform. Message content is always approved by you before it is sent.

2. How We Use Your Information

Every piece of data serves a specific purpose:

• Matching you to relevant casting opportunities
• Submitting your materials to appropriate projects
• Tracking your submission history and outcomes
• Improving our recommendation algorithms
• Providing customer support and platform updates
• Analyzing industry patterns to better serve artists

We never sell your personally identifiable information.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We share your information only when necessary to provide our services:

• With casting directors and production companies when submitting you for roles
• With trusted service providers who help us operate the platform
• When required by law or to protect our rights

We do not:

• Sell your personally identifiable information to advertisers or marketers
• Share your inbox contents or personal communications with third parties
• Use your data, including information obtained from Google APIs, to develop, improve, or train generalized AI and/or machine learning models.
• Provide bulk access to your personal information
• Sell or distribute any proprietary breakdown or casting data

Platform Compliance:

Castmenow is not a casting platform. We don't distribute breakdowns ourselves, nor do we "sell" them in any way. We always link back to the original platforms for all breakdowns. Castmenow enhances efficiency for actors and agents, but the core casting workflow and decision-making remain fully under the control of casting directors and the platforms themselves.

Support for Platforms:

We actively support the casting ecosystem:

• We require all actors to maintain their platform subscriptions, supporting the platforms' businesses
• We're open to partnerships with casting platforms, though we are currently not officially affiliated with any
• We're committed to driving higher-quality submissions with fewer irrelevant applications

We're making the industry better for everyone: casting directors appreciate our accuracy, and talent representatives are able to grow their rosters more effectively.

4. Data Security & Protection

We protect your information using industry-standard security measures:

• Encrypted data transmission and storage
• Secure authentication and access controls
• Regular security audits and updates
• Limited employee access on a need-to-know basis

While we implement strong security measures, no system is completely secure. We'll notify you promptly of any significant security incidents.

5. Your Rights & Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Access and download your information at any time
• Update or correct your profile and preferences
• Revoke inbox access or third-party integrations
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Opt out of specific data uses

We retain your information only as long as necessary:

• Active accounts: Data retained while your account is active
• Inactive accounts: Data deleted after 24 months of inactivity
